As Cardinal Mercier said : "When prudence is everywhere, courage is nowhere."                                                                                  From Cardinal Sarah : "In order to avoid hearing God's music, we have chosen to use all the devices of this world. But heaven's instruments will not stop playing just because some people are deaf."                                                                                              Saint John-Paul II wrote: "The fact that one can die for the faith shows that other demands of the faith can also be met."                                                 Cardinal Müller says, “For the real danger to today’s humanity is the greenhouse gases of sin and the global warming of unbelief and the decay of morality when no one knows and teaches the difference between good and evil.”                                                  St Catherine of Siena said, “We've had enough exhortations to be silent. Cry out with a thousand tongues - I see the world is rotten because of silence.”                                                  Chesterton said, “The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting. It has been found difficult; and left untried.”                                                Brethren, Wake up!

SHIPWRECKS AND ORDINATIONS

Saturday 13th February, is, on the Island of Malta, the feast of Saint Paul's Shipwreck, a celebration not observed in our Order since our departure thence in 1798. In the Universal Calendar it is a Saturday of Our Lady. The picture above shows this event on the vault of the eponymous Church in Valetta. Not of course Saint Paul's only shipwreck, as we know from his Epistles.

This year, tomorrow, 13th February 2021, is also the Ordination to the Subdiaconate of Gwilym Evans FSSP, former Director of Music of the Grand Priory of England, whom many of our gentle readers will remember fondly from London and Lourdes. The Ordinations will take place in the house chapel at the Seminary of Saint Peter at Wigratzbad, Bavaria. Please pray to the Princes of the Apostles for him, and for the other young men to be ordained. Pray also for their families and friends who, due to Covid restrictions, cannot join them on this joyful day.

Veni Sancte Spiritus, reple tuorum corda fidelium
et tui amoris in eis ignem accende!

Sancta Maria de Phileremo, ora pro illis.
Sancte Petre, ora pro illis.
Sancte Paule, ora pro illis.
